Customising emails.

Every email JEIKO sends has default content, ready to go. Rewriting it your way happens in the same editor as your pages, in four steps.

1. Connect the sending server

Settings › Email server. The values come from your mailbox provider or sending service.

SMTP server smtp.your-provider.com
Port 587
Username contact@your-site.com
Password •••••••• (encrypted in the database)

Without a sending server, no email goes out — including the sign-up confirmation, without which a customer cannot sign in. It is the first setting to make.

2. Choose the email and rewrite its subject

Settings › Sent emails lists emails by category: account, appointments, questionnaires, courses, store, site, admin, marketing. Each entry says when the email goes out and which variables it receives.

The subject and body accept variables in brackets, replaced at sending time. Some are specific to the event — the order number, the appointment date —, others are available everywhere:

[%prenom%] [%nom%] [%email%] the recipient
[%site_nom%] [%site_url%] [%logo_url%] your site
[%contact_email%] [%contact_tel%] your contact details
[%date%] [%annee%] the day of sending
[%lien_compte%] their personal area
[%lien_desabonnement%] mandatory on marketing
[%signature%] your signature

Example subject

[%prenom%], your order [%commande_numero%] is confirmed

A variable the event doesn't provide is rejected when saving: it would reach your customer as raw text.

3. Compose the body in the editor

An email body is a page: sections, rows, blocks, like the rest of the site. JEIKO then translates it into the form Gmail and Outlook can read — nested tables, inline styles, 600 pixels wide.

  1. Four block types make it into an inbox: text, tagged text, image, button. A video, a form or a carousel rely on JavaScript: they are ignored.
  2. Only the « desktop » settings count. An email doesn't adapt device by device: it is 600 pixels wide and stacks on a phone.
  3. Animations, background images and custom CSS are ignored: mail clients don't display them.
  4. A button can point to a variable: a [%lien_action%] destination takes each recipient to their order, their appointment, their result.

4. Preview, activate, roll back

  1. Preview: the email's screen shows the rendering as it will go out, with variables replaced by sample values.
  2. Activate or deactivate an email. Those without which a customer would lose access to their account or proof of purchase cannot be deactivated.
  3. Back to the default version: a button restores the original content, identical to a fresh install.
  4. Sender and reply-to address are set email by email; left empty, those of the sending server apply.

Marketing emails carry an unsubscribe link that doesn't require signing in: it grants a single power, stopping those emails.

Or through the API, by asking Claude

GET /api/agent/v1/emails/evenements/ # each event and its variables
PATCH /api/agent/v1/emails/12/
{ "sujet": "[%prenom%], your order [%commande_numero%] is confirmed" }
