Tutorial

From zero to a live site.

Seven steps, in the order they happen. Each one points to the page that details it, and Claude can take over every step after the installation.

1. Install

On a Debian 12 server, with a domain already pointing at it. The installer asks its questions, then runs fifteen steps: database, service, Nginx, certificate, firewall, backups.

sudo apt-get update -y && sudo apt-get install -y curl unzip
sudo mkdir -p /var/www && cd /var/www
sudo curl -fL -o jeiko-installer.zip \
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/gderouineau/jeiko_installer/main/jeiko-installer-latest.zip
sudo unzip -o jeiko-installer.zip -d jeiko-installer
cd jeiko-installer && sudo chmod +x install.sh && sudo ./install.sh

At the end, your site answers on its domain, over HTTPS, and the admin account can sign in at /accounts/login/. Details: Installation and Automatic installation.

2. Connect email

Settings › Email server: SMTP server, port, username, password. It is the first setting, because without it the sign-up confirmation doesn't go out and no customer can open an account.

3. Set the identity

Settings › General for the logo and favicon; Identity and social networks for the name and contact details; Theme for the palette; Fonts for the typography. Everything you set here applies to every page, present and future.

Also fill in the legal pages (Settings › Legal pages) and the cookie banner before opening the site to the public.

4. Build the first page

Pages › Add a page. Give it a title and an address, then open the editor.

  1. A section for the header, with a background colour or image.
  2. A one-column row with a text block: the heading and the tagline.
  3. A second section, a three-column row (4-4-4 on desktop, 12-12-12 on phone), one block per column: your three selling points.
  4. A button to your contact or booking page.
  5. The metadata: a title and a description for Google, on every page.

Check the phone preview first: that is where most of your visitors will read the page. Details: Sections, rows, blocks.

5. Menu and publishing

Pages › Menus: add your pages to the menu, in the order you want. A page is born as a draft; publishing it is a separate step. Published pages go into the sitemap and llms.txt on their own.

6. Add the modules you need

Nothing is mandatory. Take what serves your business:

  1. Appointments — a type, some slots, a calendar block.
  2. Store and payments — a product type, a record, a product, Stripe.
  3. Courses — an outline, lessons, quizzes.
  4. Questionnaires — questions, profiles, a result.
  5. Records — projects, articles, team.

7. Hand the rest to Claude

Settings › AI agents: create an agent, give it a role, and connect Claude to your site. It reads the API guide, then builds: a whole page in one call, an English version, a questionnaire, a set of records. You review, you publish.

« Build a “Pricing” page with three plans,
a five-question FAQ and a button to appointment booking.
Leave it as a draft. »

This site was built that way, in French and in English.
